ALDEN MEDICAL SUPPLY

Alden Medical Supply is located at 13185 Broadway in the Village of Alden. Owned by Ron Smith, the store opened in 2005. Alden Medical Supply is a home health care and other medical supplies place to shop. They offer a full array of home healthcare products and durable medical equipment. Some of the products include wheelchairs, scooters, lift chairs, compression stockings, diabetic and ostomy supplies, bathroom safety equipment, and walking aids.

The store has eight full time employees and three part time employees. The staff includes certified fitters who can assist customers with diabetic shoes or orthopedic braces. They also offer rental equipment for those customers who need equipment on a temporary basis such as crutches, walkers, and commodes. Special orders are available for merchandise not in stock.

Alden Medical Supply is a participating provider with most major insurance companies. They are open Monday – Friday 9:30 am – 6 pm and Saturday 10 am – 2 pm. DARROW'S RESTAURANT

Family owned and operated, Darrow’s Restaurant is located at 13192 Broadway in Alden. Owners Cathy and Peter Darrow offer homemade comfort food with a modern twist, specializing in a wide selection of premium draft beer. Darrow’s opened in June, 2009 and they have four full time employees and five part-time employees.

A full menu is offered until 9 pm. Some of their tasty choices include a variety of appetizers, soup, several salads, popular sandwiches, many pasta dishes and entrees that feature the usual and the unusual. Friday offers a haddock fish fry or fish sandwich.

Darrow’s Restaurant opens Monday through Friday at 11:30 am and Saturday at noon. They offer banquets and catering upon request.
